The last time I rode this hill (a cut through from 189 to 20), I swore I wasn't going to do it again. - that was 2 years ago. I suffered. Today, I didn't feel like riding the same old route, so I took St Hwy 539 on...that is a mother of a hill. I was standing for plenty of it and it never seemed to stop. Definitely a hill I should continue to attempt to conquer.
Anyway, beautiful day for a bike ride (not a run). Ended up going 31.6 miles - 1:54. Avg. 16.6 - top speed got to 41.7. Fun and enjoyed the sun with the sweat. Working on that biker's tan for sure.

Anytime you break 40mph, it's a good day :) Have you rode the IMLP course- baby bear, mama bear, and papa bear? You may want to keep riding that hill ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat is the Hill I turned on last Thursday, only to realize I wasn't sure where I was going. When I looked at the map on the computer, I told myself I have to climb that damn hill! Good job.
ReplyDeleteyes, rode the lake placid course and this hill would be perfect to go up and come down and do that about 6 times!
ReplyDeleteI know that hill - I have only ridden up it once, but down it many times - hit over 50 mph going down it.
ReplyDeleteOK, so I guess I have to do that as part of my speed fear training - yikes, not sure how to prepare mentally for that - my speed issue is with everything, driving, rides, bike, etc. But I know I HAVE to and will - I assume the speed peak is coming down that stretch of 20
ReplyDeletebikers tans are sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love the downhills! :)
